JOHN MATTHEWS - PROJECT MANAGER

The Project Manager for this contract, Mr. John Matthews, has over 25 years experience in electrical engineering and over 15 years on moveable bridges.  His background includes 20 years with General Electric including 15 years as Area Engineer managing operations for South Florida.  Mr. Matthews spearheads FD!’s successful acquisition Florida DOT contracts which include total operational, maintenance and repair responsibilities of moveable bridge structures.  Over a ten year period he has developed maintenance programs, maintained schedules, hired and trained maintenance personnel and performed field verification of their work; he has also designed and implemented electrical improvement projects on a variety of moveable bridges.  Mr. Matthews oversees all technical aspects of a contract, directly supervising maintenance, repair, inspections, and special projects.
