Our supervisors provide weekly inspections during all shifts. We have a proprietary checklist for these inspections. On-site visits are conducted by the supervisors, Project Manager, Contract Manager, and Operations Manager on a regular basis. We conduct weekly meetings to review operational and safety issues. If any potential problems are identified, we formulate a corrective action plan. These weekly exchanges have resulted in proactive safety procedural changes made to improve risk management and the potential costs associated with loss.
We have a redundant procedure for problem resolution. When a problem is identified (such as a bridge malfunction) the supervisor calls the maintenance personnel and Operations Manager. The maintenance personnel contact the Project Manager. Thus when there is a bridge problem ,we have the bridge tender, the supervisor, the Operations Manger and the project manager all fully informed of the status of the problem. Securing the bridge from further mishap, notifying appropriate agencies and resolving the malfunction is thereby monitored by several people to avoid possible oversight.
Florida Drawbridge understands that providing contract compliance as well as quality services is critical to the success of all projects. Florida Drawbridge has specifically designed a Moveable Bridge Quality Control/Quality Assurance program from our years of experience managing, maintaining and repairing moveable bridges. Our QC/QA Plan has been customized by adding bridge/area-specific detail to our established general methodology. Doing so, this ensures contract compliance (as a minimum), meeting our client’s expectations, and verification that Florida Drawbridge Standards of Workmanship have been met. Florida Drawbridge has implemented QC/QA policies and procedures to ensure compliance, control costs, maintain schedules, ensure service reliability, and provide a rating mechanism for subcontractors/suppliers who provide services and parts to the company.
Florida Drawbridge has a long standing commitment to providing quality services to all our clients. The Quality Control part of the program is the implementation of policies and procedures by Florida Drawbridge staff to review all work performed, review each subcontractor/supplier, identify any issue that may need resolving, and to apply the best practices to all areas of work. The keys to our Quality Assurance Program are the policies and procedures we have developed and implemented during our years of moveable-bridge services. These policies explain what is expected, who is to do it, how is it to be done, how performance is measured, verifying that it was done right the first time and how to select and keep quality subcontractors/suppliers. The QC/QA program provides the means to implement new and innovative techniques and technologies into the Florida Drawbridge work program.
We have created a simple yet efficient system to track and resolve all performance issues. The QC/QA chart illustrates how this will function. The most important element is that all issues regardless of where they originate will flow twice through the project management team. This will insure that issues are never left unresolved or half resolved. Our motto is “Find it, fix it, improve it.”
